Sales of Cincinnati Real Estate Increase 12 Months in a Row

According to the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors home sales have increased for 12 straight months in a row.  Year over year sales are up, and so are the home values. This is very encouraging news for the local market.

In comparison June sales were up 5.6% in 2012 compared to 2011 and home prices were up 5.9%. The average home sale price in the Cincinnati market was $176,063. The gains are not limited to Cincinnati either. Northern Kentucky saw and 18% year over year sales volume increase and a 0.5% price increase according to WVXU.

As an economic indicator the housing market’s slow and stead recovery is a positive sign, signaling increased consumer confidence and a steadily improving  job market. The recovery is slow and steady and that is good news for home sellers and a reassuring sign for home buyers.
